Kara-age(ka-la ah geh in English)

Today we are going Asian food, Japanese to be exact! This recipe is very simple, exact measurements are not needed, but just keep in mind the number of people who are being fed. It is one that is very common in Japan, and is very popular. It is very good!
Okay so on the delicious recipe:
White rice (as much as you would desire)
Chicken (white or brown)
Flour
To prepare: Cook the rice. While cooking, cut the chicken into your preference and desired portions (ex. bite size or tenders). Once cut, dip the chicken pieces into flour until all covered. Heat the pan on medium high until hot. Pour enough oil into the pan so that the bottom of the pan is covered. Fry the chicken until golden brown.
Recommended sauce: A combination of soy sauce and sweet chili sauce.
Combine everything and you are done! Don't forget the cheese on top if it is desired!

1st Recipe down

Hello everyone. To start off the feeling of this blog, I thought it would be nice if we started out with some nice home cooking first. This recipe is from the Italian scheme of things, it makes a delicious family meal and is called Pasta E Fagioli. It will take about 30 mins to prepare. I have added my own little hint and gone somewhat astray from the original recipe, here is the list of ingredients and what I would say as the measurements:) Let me know what you think!

1 1/2 tsp. oil
2 lb. ground beef
6 oz. onions; chopped
7 oz. celery; diced
24 oz. tomatoes; canned and diced
44 oz. beef stock
3 tsp. Oregano
2 1/2 tsp. Pepper
5 tsp. Parsley; (chopped, the more fresh the better)
24 oz. spaghetti sauce
8 oz. dry pasta (any kind will do)
If you are wanting it a little more runny, then add 1 qt. of water.
Preparation: Saute beef in oil in large pot until beef starts to brown. Add onions, carrots, celery and tomatoes and simmer for 10 mins. Add beef stock, oregano, pepper spaghetti sauce and noodles to the pot. Simmer until vegetables are tender, about 45 mins. Enjoy!

Delight! 101

My name is Camille Twitchell, and I am a junior at Weber State University. I am a Public Relations major, I haven't yet decided on the minor.
This blog is going to be about recipes and food. Who doesn't love that topic?
I am going to try a different or new recipe every week and then rate it on whether it was a good or a bad one. I will also add some photos and videos of course.
The food featured will cover all areas of the spectrum. There will be Asian, Italian, American, etc.
It's going to be delicious, as well as a delight!
